Community rules
Standards for taking part in the IGY6 community.
Official community rules & regulations
Version 1.0 | Community-wide rules and 50 vs. 50 Infantry Only server rules
These rules apply to IGY6 Gaming Community members, players, staff, and affiliated servers. The 50 vs. 50 Infantry Only restrictions in Section 8 apply only to those designated servers running that mode.
SECTION 1 — GENERAL COMMUNITY STANDARDS
Rule 1.1 — Respect All Members
Treat players, staff, and community members with basic respect. Personal disagreements must not disrupt gameplay. Harassment, persistent targeting, bullying, and attempts to provoke others are prohibited. Handle disagreements respectfully through appropriate channels. Competitive banter is permitted only while it remains short of harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse.
Rule 1.2 — Follow Staff Instructions
Follow reasonable instructions issued by authorized IGY6 staff. Do not deliberately disregard staff directions or obstruct active investigations. Punishments may be appealed through the designated process. Staff instructions do not authorize cheating, harassment, discrimination, or other prohibited conduct.
Rule 1.3 — No Impersonation
Do not impersonate administrators, moderators, owners, or other players; falsely claim staff authorization or privileges; or use misleading names, tags, or identities to deceive members.
Rule 1.4 — No Spam or Disruptive Behavior
No excessive voice or text spam, disruptive soundboards, microphone spamming intended to disrupt gameplay, repeated advertising, message flooding, or deliberate interference with critical communications.
Rule 1.5 — Appropriate Usernames and Tags
Names, clan tags, and profile content must not contain slurs, hateful imagery, credible threats, doxxing material, or other prohibited content. Staff may require inappropriate names or tags to be changed.
SECTION 2 — CHEATING, HACKING & UNFAIR ADVANTAGES
Rule 2.1 — Zero Tolerance for Cheating
Cheating is strictly prohibited on all IGY6 servers. Examples include:
- Aimbots, triggerbots, and automated targeting.
- Wallhacks, ESP, radar hacks, or unauthorized player tracking.
- No-recoil, no-spread, rapid-fire modifications, or unauthorized weapon manipulation.
- Speed hacks, teleportation, flying, or unauthorized movement.
- Unauthorized macros, scripts, automation, modified game files, or injected code used to gain an unfair advantage.
- Exploiting unauthorized information or functionality supplied by cheats.
- Using another account or player to conceal cheating or evade a cheating ban.
Players are responsible for ensuring software and modifications comply with game rules and anti-cheat requirements. Ignorance is not an automatic defense.
Enforcement: Confirmed cheating may result in immediate removal and a permanent ban.
Rule 2.2 — No Cheat Sharing or Facilitation
Do not distribute, advertise, sell, provide, or knowingly assist others in obtaining or using cheats. Do not instruct others on bypassing anti-cheat systems or evading enforcement.
Rule 2.3 — No Ban Evasion
Do not use alternate accounts, changed identifiers, or another player to bypass a server or community ban. Do not return on another account while an appeal is pending.
Rule 2.4 — Reporting Suspected Cheaters
Report suspected cheating through designated channels. Provide clips, screenshots, timestamps, player identifiers, or other relevant evidence when available. Describe observable behavior rather than making unsupported accusations. Do not harass or publicly target suspected players. Suspicion alone does not establish guilt.
Rule 2.5 — No False Reports or Evidence Manipulation
Do not knowingly submit false reports, fabricate or deceptively alter evidence, or coordinate false accusations. Good-faith reports that cannot be substantiated are not punishable merely because staff cannot confirm them.
SECTION 3 — EXPLOITS, GLITCHES & GAME ABUSE
Rule 3.1 — No Exploit Abuse
Do not intentionally use bugs, glitches, unintended mechanics, or game defects to obtain an unfair advantage. Examples include:
- Shooting through unintended walls, terrain, or solid objects.
- Using map glitches to become invisible, invulnerable, or inaccessible.
- Accessing unintended areas to attack players who cannot reasonably fight back.
- Exploiting animation glitches, hitbox issues, or unintended weapon behavior.
- Abusing duplication, unlimited ammunition, resource generation, or similar defects.
Rule 3.2 — Report Exploits
Report significant exploits to staff rather than repeatedly using them. Do not publish detailed instructions for abusing serious exploits in public channels when doing so would facilitate abuse.
Rule 3.3 — No Intentional Teamkilling or Griefing
Do not intentionally kill teammates; sabotage friendly vehicles, equipment, spawns, or objectives; reveal friendly positions to the enemy; waste team resources to sabotage the team; or obstruct teammates from playing effectively. Accidental teamkills happen; repeated or clearly intentional misconduct may be punished.
Rule 3.4 — No Spawn Abuse
Do not exploit spawn protection, invulnerability periods, or spawn-related glitches; deliberately trap players in spawn areas; or abuse unintended mechanics to attack players who cannot respond. Follow any game-specific spawn restrictions.
SECTION 4 — RACISM, HATE SPEECH & DISCRIMINATION
Rule 4.1 — Zero Tolerance for Racism
Racism, racial slurs, and discriminatory harassment are prohibited. This includes spoken, written, abbreviated, or disguised slurs; racist insults, stereotypes, and dehumanizing statements; racist usernames, tags, profile content, or imagery; and targeted harassment based on race, ethnicity, nationality, or skin color. Claiming it was a joke does not excuse targeted racist abuse.
Rule 4.2 — No Hate Speech
Hateful conduct targeting protected characteristics is prohibited, including religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or other protected personal characteristics. Do not advocate violence or persecution against a protected group, dehumanize or threaten group members, encourage discriminatory abuse, or use extremist slogans or imagery to threaten or intimidate members.
Rule 4.3 — No Targeted Harassment
Do not repeatedly insult, intimidate, humiliate, or pursue another player across matches, servers, or community channels. Respect requests to stop. Continued conduct may be treated as aggravated harassment.
Rule 4.4 — No Threats of Violence
Threats against players, staff, their families, or other individuals are prohibited in voice chat, text, private messages, Discord, or other community-related platforms. Competitive trash talk does not excuse credible real-world threats. Severe cases may result in immediate removal and a permanent ban.
SECTION 5 — DOXXING, PRIVACY & REAL-WORLD SAFETY
Rule 5.1 — No Doxxing
Do not share, threaten to share, solicit, or distribute another person's private identifying information without authorization. Examples include private real names, home addresses, personal phone numbers or email addresses, workplace or school information, private family details, private photographs, identifying documents, or technical information used to identify, expose, threaten, or target someone. This applies to public channels, DMs, voice chat, screenshots, and external platforms.
Rule 5.2 — No Swatting or Real-World Targeting
Do not threaten, encourage, coordinate, or attempt to send emergency services to another person's location through false reports. Do not use personal information to threaten someone's employment, family, physical safety, or real-world wellbeing.
Rule 5.3 — No Malicious Links or Account Theft
Do not distribute phishing links or malicious files; steal credentials; hijack accounts; compromise devices; impersonate support staff to obtain private information; or share private messages or personal information to intimidate or retaliate.
Rule 5.4 — Protect Community Members
Report privacy violations to staff promptly. Do not repost sensitive material when reporting it. Staff should limit access to sensitive evidence and avoid reproducing personal information unnecessarily. Serious violations may result in immediate removal and a permanent ban. Credible real-world threats may be escalated to appropriate authorities when warranted.
SECTION 6 — TOXICITY, COMMUNICATION & SPORTSMANSHIP
Rule 6.1 — Competitive Banter Has Limits
Competitive trash talk is permitted when it remains within reasonable boundaries. Sustained personal attacks, targeted harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, coordinated harassment, and repeatedly provoking someone who has asked you to stop are prohibited.
Rule 6.2 — No Deliberate Disruption
Do not intentionally ruin matches through repeated disruption, false tactical information intended to sabotage teammates, deliberate abandonment solely to disrupt, intentional obstruction of team resources, or encouraging others to sabotage a match. Legitimate strategy disagreements and ordinary mistakes are not automatically violations.
Rule 6.3 — Use Communication Channels Appropriately
Keep voice communications reasonably clear and relevant. Do not use voice channels to harass, threaten, or intimidate others, or intentionally drown out emergency or tactical communications. Follow server-specific communication requirements.
Rule 6.4 — No Retaliation
Do not retaliate against anyone for reporting misconduct, cooperating with staff, or participating in an investigation. Retaliation may result in additional punishment regardless of the original report's outcome.
SECTION 7 — SERVER INTEGRITY & FAIR PLAY
Rule 7.1 — No Team-Stacking Abuse
Do not manipulate team assignments, switch teams, or coordinate unfair arrangements to undermine match integrity. Follow server-specific team-switching and team-balance restrictions.
Rule 7.2 — No Match Fixing or Collusion
Do not secretly coordinate with opposing players to manipulate match outcomes, farm kills, exchange resources, or undermine legitimate competition.
Rule 7.3 — No Unauthorized Advertising
Do not advertise competing communities, servers, services, or unrelated products without permission from IGY6 staff. Normal game-related conversation is permitted unless disruptive or otherwise prohibited.
Rule 7.4 — No Unauthorized Account Sharing
Do not share or transfer accounts to evade bans, conceal misconduct, or misrepresent identity during an investigation. Players are responsible for activity reasonably attributable to their accounts.
Rule 7.5 — Follow Game-Specific Rules
Each IGY6 server may have additional rules tailored to its game mode, map, vehicle availability, weapon restrictions, or community events. Players are responsible for reading and following the rules posted for the specific server.
SECTION 9 — REPORTING, EVIDENCE & STAFF INVESTIGATIONS
Rule 9.1 — Report Violations Properly
Report violations through official IGY6 reporting or support channels. Include when available:
- Player name and identifier.
- Approximate date and time.
- Server and map.
- Description of the incident.
- Video clips, screenshots, or other supporting evidence.
- Relevant witnesses.
Do not use public arguments or mass harassment as a substitute for reporting.
Rule 9.2 — Evidence Review
Staff may review available recordings, screenshots, server logs, anti-cheat alerts, and witness accounts. Evidence must be assessed in context. An accusation alone does not establish guilt. Staff may take temporary protective action during a serious investigation.
Rule 9.3 — Cooperation
Players may be asked to provide relevant information. Refusing to participate in a voluntary interview is not, by itself, proof of wrongdoing. Deliberate obstruction, evidence tampering, threats, or witness intimidation may constitute separate violations.
Rule 9.4 — Appeals
Appeal punishments through the official process. Appeals should be respectful and provide relevant information. Do not spam staff with the same appeal or evade a punishment while it is under review. Staff may uphold, reduce, or overturn a punishment after reviewing available information.
SECTION 10 — STAFF AUTHORITY & PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Rule 10.1 — Staff Authority
Authorized IGY6 staff may issue warnings, mutes, kicks, temporary bans, or permanent bans in accordance with community policy.
Rule 10.2 — No Abuse of Staff Privileges
Staff must not use administrative powers to settle personal disputes, intimidate players, falsify evidence, or grant unfair advantages. Staff misconduct may result in removal from the staff team or other appropriate disciplinary action.
Rule 10.3 — Administrative Discretion
Not every situation can be anticipated in a written rulebook. Administrators may address conduct that clearly undermines safety, fairness, or server integrity, provided actions are reasonable, consistent with community standards, and subject to appropriate review. Discretion does not authorize discriminatory enforcement or retaliation.
Rule 10.4 — Consistent Enforcement
Staff should consider severity, evidence, intent, impact, and relevant prior history. Similar cases should generally receive similar treatment, while serious or aggravated misconduct may justify immediate escalation.
SECTION 11 — DISCIPLINARY POLICY
These standard starting points promote consistent enforcement. Serious violations may warrant stronger action immediately.

SECTION 11 — ENFORCEMENT PRINCIPLES
- Warnings are not required for severe misconduct. Staff may impose an immediate ban when warranted.
- Repeat violations may escalate to longer suspensions or permanent removal.
- Intent and impact matter. Deliberate, coordinated, or harmful behavior may receive stronger punishment.
- Staff should document significant disciplinary decisions and preserve relevant evidence when available.
- Players may appeal through the designated process.
- A prior warning or clean history does not prevent immediate action for serious misconduct.

Game server rules
Standards for playing on IGY6 game servers.
SECTION 8 — SPECIAL RULES: 50 vs. 50 INFANTRY ONLY SERVER
These rules apply specifically to the IGY6 50 vs. 50 Infantry Only server. They do not automatically apply to other IGY6 servers.
Rule 8.1 — Infantry-Only Gameplay
Follow the server's designated infantry-only restrictions. Vehicles and equipment may only be used where explicitly permitted by server configuration or posted rules. Do not exploit unintended vehicle access, class restrictions, or equipment limitations.
Rule 8.2 — ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLOSIVES ON HELICOPTERS
Explosives are prohibited on helicopters on this server. No exceptions unless IGY6 management explicitly publishes a change to this rule.
Prohibited explosives include, but are not limited to:
- Grenade launchers
- C4
- IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices)
- Hand grenades
- Other explosive weapons, charges, or ordnance used from or in conjunction with a helicopter.
Pilots, crew members, and passengers must not carry, equip, deploy, throw, launch, or use explosives from a helicopter or while operating as part of a helicopter crew. Players must not use a helicopter to transport, position, or deliver explosives for an attack.
This restriction applies whether the helicopter is airborne, hovering, landing, or on the ground. Do not use a helicopter to circumvent explosive restrictions.
Violations may result in removal, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban depending on severity and prior history.
SECTION 8 — INFANTRY ONLY SERVER (CONTINUED)
Rule 8.3 — No Explosive-Rule Circumvention
Do not exploit game mechanics, class switching, inventory behavior, vehicle interactions, or coordinated tactics to bypass Rule 8.2. If unsure whether an item or tactic is prohibited, ask an administrator before using it.
Rule 8.4 — Helicopter Conduct
Follow posted flight restrictions. Do not deliberately crash a helicopter to grief teammates, obstruct friendly spawns or objectives, exploit unintended flight mechanics or map boundaries, or use helicopters to facilitate prohibited explosive attacks. Additional restrictions may govern availability, transport, landing zones, or permitted roles.
Rule 8.5 — No Deliberate Vehicle Griefing
Do not intentionally destroy, disable, steal, block, or waste friendly vehicles to sabotage teammates. Accidental collisions, mistakes during transport, and legitimate combat losses are not automatically violations.
Rule 8.6 — Objective-Based Play
Do not intentionally sabotage captures or defenses, exploit objective boundaries or map glitches, coordinate with opponents to manipulate tickets or outcomes, or violate posted spawn and ticket-related restrictions.
Rule 8.7 — Server-Specific Restrictions Take Precedence
Additional restrictions may be introduced for balance, map design, or game updates. Authorized staff must communicate new restrictions clearly. Ask for clarification rather than assuming an unlisted restriction exists.
Need clarification or want to appeal?
Speak with staff through a private ticket. Keep reports and personal details out of public discussions.
